Assignments for the week of May 11-15
Art assignment/week of May 11-15:
It's "Home Sweet Home" week in Art! Homes come in all shapes and sizes. This week, I'd like you to design a "Fairy House" or a "Gnome Home" for our little friends. There are many ways to complete this project. You can keep it simple by doing a drawing and adding some color with crayons or markers. Or, you could build a 3-D home from recycled boxes, paper cups, toilet paper tubes, etc. Maybe you could cut out a little door and some windows and attach them to the base of a tree. On a beautiful day, and with the help of a grown up, you could even build a little house from sticks, stones, plants, and other natural objects. Just be sure to get adult supervision, as some plants can be dangerous. If you do create a 3-D fairy house or gnome home, take a picture of it!
